Does Rock Rabbit manage rebate payments?

Rebate payments are managed directly between the incentive provider and the contractor or homeowner, depending on the program. Rock Rabbit does not handle rebate payouts at this time.

How up-to-date is incentive information in Rock Rabbit?

Rock Rabbit uses a combination of automated tools and expert review to maintain a highly reliable and up-to-date database of incentive programs. The information in the Rebate Center reflects the most current publicly available details from program administrators and utilities. While we work hard to ensure accuracy, incentive programs can change without notice, and occasional discrepancies may occur. Can I update a project after it’s been created?

Currently, Rock Rabbit does not support editing a project’s incentives or specs after a project has been created. However, you can create a new project with updated information.

Can multiple home upgrades be included in the same project?

Currently, a separate project must be created for each home upgrade. However, if an upgrade requires additional work—such as an electrical panel upgrade—there is an option to include that add-on during project creation.

How does Rock Rabbit help with incentives that have to be applied for by the homeowner?

For these cases, Rock Rabbit generates a downloadable file that includes all the necessary documentation, images, and information needed to complete the submission.

For these programs a guide is available to help homeowners through the final stages of the rebate process — ensuring a smooth, accurate, and timely submission.

What types of projects does Rock Rabbit support?

Rock Rabbit currently supports more than 100 single-family residential and commercial programs in key markets across the country for the following technologies:

  • Heat pump water heating

  • Heat pump space heating and cooling

  • Induction cooktops

Support for additional technologies, building types and end uses is in development and will be added soon.

How does Rock Rabbit handle income verification for equity incentives?

Income verification for equity incentives will vary program by program. Many programs determine income qualification based on the customer’s utility rate, participating in another state or federal income-qualified program, or earnings that are 80% or less of area median income. Rock Rabbit helps you understand and navigate income requirements for equity incentives, and typically the program implementer requires the customer to go through a prescribed process for verification.

Does Rock Rabbit finance projects?

Rock Rabbit does not currently offer third-party financing. When available, subsidized financing options from state or local providers are presented during the creation of a project on our platform in some markets.
